The Portal Conspiracy

It’s official: something is going on.

This afternoon, Simba walked into the room like he owned it (as usual), but instead of heading for his favorite sun patch, he stopped at the mirror. Sat down. Stared.

Now, a stare from Simba isn’t rare. He has a black belt in dramatic tension. But this one had weight. A kind of “I know what you did” energy. You could feel it.

Then—get this—he did that little huff thing.
The one that says, “I’m disappointed, but not surprised.”
And then he sniffed the mirror.

Like he was checking for… what?
Smoke? Cracks in the fabric of reality? The scent of his doppelgänger?

Unclear.

But the weird part (yes, we’re only now getting to the weird part):
When he turned around to leave, he paused.
His tail twitched once.

And in the mirror?
No twitch.
Nothing.

The reflection stayed still.

Perfectly.
Awkwardly.
Still.

It caught up a second later, as if someone on the other side had forgotten their cue. Sloppy work for a reflection, honestly.

Simba didn’t flinch.
Didn’t bark.
Didn’t even look back.

Just strutted out like he had all the answers — and none of the time to explain them to us.
